Independent Patient Reviews of Bristol Veincentre
Reviews of our service posted on Private Healthcare UK's website "helping you make the right choice"
"Initially I was apprehensive about having this surgery under local anaesthetic, but found there to be very little pain involved, which was a relief. The results were amazing, there were no visible signs of scars and the improvement was immediately noticeable. The cramps and pain have disappeared. Everybody from reception to medical staff made me feel comfortable throughout the whole experience. I would like to thank Dr. West and his team for their professionalism, expertise and clear information from start to finish." – Maria
"I had suffered from a very large varicose vein on my right leg for many years but had avoided traditional vein stripping as I did not want the risk of a general anaesthetic, and also had read it was not that successful. In the last year I started to research EVLA and finally got some quotes. I chose the Veincentre because of the price which was at least £1000 less than other clinics, although I was a bit concerned that less cost = less care, this is not so. I was seen promptly by Dr West who explained my options and I decided to go ahead with EVLA & Foam Sclerotherapy, which was performed straight away. The whole procedure was done in 45 mins and was almost painless (just a bit of stinging from the injections).
The following two/three weeks I had some tightness in the leg and tenderness around the area where the foam was injected, but after that almost nothing (walking helps a lot).
Now, two months later, I have a leg free of varicose veins. But more importantly it no longer aches or feels heavy and a lot of the discolouration around the ankle has faded.
I can thoroughly recommend EVLA and in particular the Veincentre and Dr David West who provide an excellent and cost-effective service." - Ron
"I have suffered from varicose veins in one leg for many years, which have become worse over the last few years and were very unsightly. I decided to try this clinic to get them treated. Although I was initially apprehensive and a bit sceptical about the outcome, I was put at my ease by Mr Neary and his staff, who explained the procedure and did an ultrasound scan. The procedure itself was surprisingly quick and efficient, and apart from some discomfort from the local anaesthetic I felt nothing, and apart from wearing an elastic stocking for a week was able to carry on as normal and had minimal discomfort.
I am pleased to say that 3 months later I am completely free of varicose veins (in fact it is hard to believe that I ever had them!) and my leg also feels a lot better. Having them done was the best decision I could have made and I would certainly recommend this clinic." - Julie

M4 Junction 19. Take M32 towards Bristol. Follow signs to City Centre & then to Clifton. Continue straight and as you hit town you will see a big shopping centre called Cabot Circus on your left. Continue with the shopping centre on your left. At the roundabout take the first exit alongside Primark. Continue on the road following all signs to Clifton, A4018. You should pass the Bristol Hippodrome on your right and which point keep right and follow the hill up to Clifton. Nearing the top of the hill turn left, alongside Jamie’s Italian & Oxfam, onto Berkeley Avenue. Continue around the square and the clinic is on your left. If you miss this turning, continue up the hill and turn left after Pret a Manger onto Berkeley Square.
M5 Junction 15. Exit onto M4 toward London/M32/Bristol. Follow above instructions.
