'Dr Ray’ as he is commonly known, is a subspecialty trained consultant in Clinical and Interventional Radiology, providing his diagnostic and procedural skills to the patients of Gloucestershire (and beyond). After a brief stint working in the City of London, Dr Ray trained at the Barts and the London Medical School before rotating through several London hospitals. He eventually completed his training at Kings College Hospital with extensive experience in minimal access, image-guided treatment for patients with arterial and venous disease, kidney disease and cancer as well as providing emergency treatment for patients involved in major trauma or with serious bleeding problems.
As a Consultant, Dr Ray leads on the provision of procedures such as uterine artery embolisation, contrast ultrasound and is the principle investigator for a national research trial. He continues to work collaboratively with colleagues to produce high quality publications in multinational medical journals.
He spends his free time walking the countryside of Gloucestershire, pretending to know how to garden and pursuing long held interests in Martial arts. Dr Ray is otherwise kept busy caring for his two small children and juggling life married to an Obstetrician.
