Dr Suzie Anthony is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist and forms part of our Oxfordshire clinic team. Having qualified in 1992 from University College Hospital Medical School, London, she trained in transplant and renal medicine at St Mary’s Hospital London, gaining MRCP, before embarking on a career in Radiology. During her radiology training at the Royal Free Hospital, London, she developed her interest in Intervention and took up her consultant post in Oxford in 2005.
Suzie is currently Clinical Director for Radiology at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the Academic Health Science Imaging Network consultant for Oxford. In these roles she influences strategic health care planning for the Trust and the Thames Valley, promoting equity of provision of quality imaging services across the region.
Suzie introduced Endovenous Laser Treatment for Varicose Veins to the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2009 and is pleased to be a member of the Oxfordshire Vein Centre. Her specialist interests include non-invasive vascular imaging including cardiac CT, aortic intervention and interventional oncology (TACE, SIRT, PVE).
Outside of work, she and her husband are co-owners of a 39’ racing yacht, berthed in Hamble River, and spend most weekends racing, irrespective of the weather. She has also raced in the sunnier climes, in Turkey and the Caribbean (Antigua regatta 2015, 2nd in class, 1st Round-the-Island). The highlight of the year is the Cowes Week Regatta in August, and this year she hopes to be in the top 5 in class. (8th in 2015). Her daughter is also a keen sailor, achieving 2nd under 25 boat and 10th in class at Cowes week 2015.

Thursday: 9:00 - 17:00
Dr Anthony has committed to working at Veincentre Oxford every other Thursday. If you book an initial consultation with Dr Anthony in Oxford, all your future appointments will be with Dr Anthony in Oxford. As such, it is important to note that if you opt to go ahead with treatment this will be undertaken with Dr Anthony on a Thursday (as will all future follow-up appointments).
Occasionally Dr Anthony may open up a list on another day, especially during our busy periods, however we cannot guarantee appointment dates on any other day than a Thursday even if a previous appointment was on a different day. If you are unable to attend one of Dr Anthony's dates and hence wish to switch consultants, you will need to attend and pay for a new consultation with the other consultant prior to any treatment being undertaken. Please take care when choosing which consultant/ date to book.
Please note that due to holidays Dr Anthony may not be available every other Thursday.
