ARE THERE ANY RISKS WITH EVLA?

There are risks with any medical procedure. EVLA is fundamentally very safe, the risks are very few and far between. There’s a very small risk of getting a blood clot DVT. We’ve done over 10,000 of these procedures and we’ve had just one case of a Deep Venous Thrombosis which compares very, very well with traditional surgery.

The other possible risks associated with EVLA such as burns to the skin, but other than the one DVT that we’ve seen we have not come across any other complication.

About 10% of patients will get some bruised look to the skin after the injections we use at follow up but as far as the Endovenous laser goes the risks are very few.
