Raymond continues to expand the services offered including complex liver and cancer treatments. This role also encompasses emergency image-guided surgical procedures required to support a busy acute hospital as well as elective referrals including drainages, visceral organ/tumour biopsies and complex vascular access.

Raymond has a subspecialty interest in renal, prostate, vascular (arterial and venous) and hepatobiliary imaging including relevant MRI and MRA interpretation.

Ray is a Lead Clinician on the delivery of uterine artery embolization, radiologically inserted gastrostomy feeding tubes and contrast-enhanced ultrasound. He instigated local IR Consultant led clinics for consent, review and patient consultation.

Raymond acts as Principle Investigator for a national research project- PAVE (Paclitaxel assisted balloon angioplasty of venous stenosis in haemodialysis access) trial. This is coupled with continued research interests particularly in contrast-enhanced ultrasound as well as sitting on a national consensus board drawing up guidelines for the maintenance of arteriovenous fistula dialysis access.
