Varicose veins are a common problem, affecting up to 1 in 3 adults in their lifetime. They are usually a sign of an underlying venous insufficiency.
Thread veins can appear anywhere on the body but are mostly evidenced on the legs and face. They are more common than varicose veins, affecting up to 80% of adults.
Leg ulcers appear as broken skin in the lower leg or feet. We have been successfully treating venous leg ulcers for over 20 years.

After treatment at Veincentre’s Glasgow clinic, Sonya couldn’t be happier with her transformation and finally has her confidence back to wear shorts and skirts again!
Like many people with varicose veins, Sonya found that the condition affected more than just how her legs looked, it impacted her day-to-day confidence. In warmer months especially, she avoided wearing shorts and skirts, feeling uncomfortable about the visible veins on her legs. See Sonya’s transformation below!
Sonya chose to attend a consultation at Veincentre’s Glasgow clinic, where she was treated by Dr Navin Mathias. She underwent Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) – a NICE-recommended, walk-in, walk-out treatment designed to close the faulty veins that cause varicose veins.
EVLA is carried out under local anaesthetic and typically takes less than an hour. Patients can walk in and walk out the same day, with minimal discomfort and no need for general anaesthetic or hospital stays.
Following her treatment, Sonya felt a renewed sense of confidence. “I couldn’t be happier with the results achieved and have my confidence back to wear shorts and skirts again. I would definitely recommend this treatment,” she shared.
