Position: Registered Nurse on the Veincentre Bank
Clinic: Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Nottingham, Oxfordshire, Southampton, Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: Bank work. Holiday and ad-hoc cover. Our clinics are open Mon-Sat and can be open between 8:30am Р8pm.
Rate: Competitive hourly rate


Role Summary
To provide ad-hoc nursing care for patients undergoing assessment and minimally invasive treatment of venous insufficiency when our regular nurses are away.


Company and Role Background
Veincentre Ltd was established in 2003 as the first private UK company specifically set up to provide patients with NICE approved non-surgical treatments for varicose veins and venous insufficiency. Head Office is in Staffordshire and there are 13 clinics in key locations across the UK. We may also reach out to you for cover at our other clinics if required and you’re willing.

We are looking for nurses with a bubbly and caring nature to provide nursing cover when our regular nurses are on holiday or in unforeseen absences (these can often be last minute e.g. illness). You must be registered with the NMC but no previous venous experience is required as you will be fully trained in house to our highest standard of vein care.


General Role

  • Providing high quality, safe, friendly, cheerful and supportive nursing care for our patients. This is to be undertaken in an efficient manner, but all the while focusing on the needs and expectations of the patients
  • Assuring quality of care by adhering to Veincentre policies and procedures
  • Documenting individual patient’s care in patient notes

Patient Service

  • Veincentre‚Äôs marketing strategy of exceeding patients’ expectations is to be lived up to.
  • Patient safety is a key priority.
  • A high standard of service, professionalism and behaviour is maintained at all times.

Position: Medical Secretary
Clinic: Head Office in Stoke-on-Trent
Hours: 9am – 5.30pm Monday – Friday (40/hr week)
Rate: £17,000 Р£24,000 depending on experience


Role Summary
Your role will include typing medical reports, acting as a patient adviser, making appointments and taking payments. We encourage all admin team members to observe clinics in progress, and you’ll be trained in the pre and post-operative care advice patients require. We find all admin team members play a vital role in enhancing the patient’s experience both before, during and after their clinic visits.

General Role

  • Typing Medical Reports
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Patient invoicing and taking payments
  • Preparing medical notes ensuring that all relevant paperwork is ready for the consultant
  • Assembling client lists ready for the following day‚Äôs operating list
  • Updating patient records and dealing with confidential information
  • Communication with patients via telephone & e-mail
  • Being able to answer/direct any queries that our patients may have

Skills and Qualities

  • Two year’s experience as a medical secretary (preferred)
  • an excellent telephone manner
  • administration and organisational skills
  • good communication skills with patients and other staff members across all clinic
  • accuracy and attention to detail

  • Assisting in the maintenance of Care Quality Commission registration requirements.
  • All Veincentre policies and protocols are to be rigorously adhered to.
  • These policies include: Infection Control, Medication Administration, Risk Assessments, Storage, Equipment use and maintenance.
  • Effective contribution to be made to the development and implementation of appropriate protocols and procedures.

Other

  • Opportunities will be given to expand the role including training in ultrasound scanning.
  • Uniform, including name badge, will be provided by Veincentre and are to be worn at all times.
