Dr Mark Regi

Consultant Interventional Radiologist

GMC No: 6077795
MB BS 2003 University of London

Dr Mark Regi is a Consultant Vascular Interventional Radiologist at the Sheffield Vascular Institute with an interest in complex aneurysm repair, interventional oncology and venous work. Like Dr West he specialises in image guided, minimally invasive blood vessel work. He works closely with Dr West at the Nottingham clinic. He is an expert in embolisation (or blocking) blood vessels from the pelvis which can be the cause of varicose veins.

Mark initially read Physiology at King's College and Medicine at the Royal Free in London. He completed his basic surgical training in Wessex followed by higher training in Clinical Radiology in Bristol. Mark spent 2 years at the Sheffield Vascular Institute as the Endovascular Fellow and was then appointed as a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. After 1 happy year in Wales he returned to Sheffield to take up the position he currently holds as a consultant at the Sheffield Vascular Institute.

Mark currently lives on the West side of Sheffield enjoying the magnificent Peak District on his doorstep. He walks, climbs and paraglides in the Peaks with his sporty wife, Cat, and their dog, Morris. They have a new son, Arthur who now takes up most of their spare time!

Mark is one of the lead medics for Festival Medical Services, a charity that provides medical provision to the Glastonbury and Reading music festivals. Whilst he likes working at music festivals he prefers watching the bands from the side of the stage.

Dr Regi's Veincentre Clinic Sessions

Veincentre Nottingham

If you book an initial consultation with Dr Regi in Veincentre Nottingham, all your future appointments will be with Dr Regi in Nottingham. It is really useful to note that the day of the week Dr Regi works at Veincentre varies week by week. Most of his sessions are on a Thursday (60%) however he also runs sessions on Fridays (30%) and occasional Saturdays (10%).

As such, if you see Dr Regi you’re likely to have the option of attending future appointments on either a Thursday, Friday or Saturday however they are all subject to availability and he doesn’t run clinics on all days every week.

Occasionally Dr Regi may open up a list on another day, especially during our busy periods, however we cannot guarantee appointment dates on every weekday even if a previous appointment was on a different weekday.

If you are unable to attend one of Dr Regi's dates and hence wish to switch consultants, you will need to attend and pay for a new consultation with the other consultant prior to any treatment being undertaken. Please take care when choosing which consultant/ date to book.
