Dr Mo Hadi was appointed as a Consultant Interventional Radiologist at the University Hospitals of Southampton in 2020. His daily practice includes a wide range procedures including vascular, oncological and embolisation work. He has a special interest in the treatment of venous disease including deep venous recannalisation following Deep vein thrombosis (DVT). Mo is involved and enjoys daily teaching of radiology registrars as well as being a clinical and educational supervisor to specialty trainee radiology doctors an UHS.
Dr Mo Hadi started his career in the NHS in 2005 initially in surgery becoming a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2008. During this time, he also acquired a higher research degree (MD), from the University of Warwick, focussed on improving patient safety in the operating theatres. This knowledge in patient safety resulted in Dr Hadi being a valuable member of the patient safety team at UHS from 2023-2025. In the wake of technological advancements in image-guided ‘pinhole’ interventions, Dr Hadi pursued a career in Interventional Radiology and completed his training and fellowship in the centres of excellence Oxford University Hospitals and Southampton University Hospitals in 2020. He is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR) with sub-specialty training in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.
Outside of work, Dr Hadi has a busy family life being a father of three boys and an energetic dog. He is currently enjoying home renovations and gaining skills in carpentry work, and is working to improve his (very basic!) kite surfing skills and enjoys cycling, cooking and travel.
